I honestly can’t get over the fact that these light beings/judges/orbs or whatever tf they are made it into a post apocalyptic show that has never hinted at it once. How do you introduce this huge ass thing in the last season and in the last few episodes of the show. Like…..I did not start this show for it to end with some weird religious rapture that honest to god makes NO SENSE. And I’m not even going to touch the topic of how they fucked up how the PASSAGE OF TIME works. Season 7 was a whole ass different show that needs to be called something else because it sure as hell wasn’t The 100.

I’m just super fucking bitter that once the flint water crisis got it’s 15 minutes of fame people stopped giving a shit. The water is still poisoned, people! Donations have plummeted and people have been forced back into drinking and bathing with the water! The medical effects of this are astounding, cases of legionnaires disease have skyrocketed, people are having seizures, people are having weird rashes break out over their body, people (including me!) are having their blood poisoned, and it’s not just lead! it’s coliform bacteria! it’s THMs! it’s all in the water and it gets into the bloodstream and breaks down blood vessels, causing bruising and petechiae and internal bleeding and no one gives a shit anymore and it’s only gotten worse like how many people are going to have to die until people realize this is still a problem

I would like to add that the people of Flint cannot sell their houses, because selling a house with leaded water is illegal. Additionally, households with children can’t stop paying for the water because living in a house without running water is cause for CPS to take their kids. Flint has been living this way for over two years.

The people of Flint are trapped by the legal system. And it is only the most high profile case out many cities with a similar problem.

Because the government has abandoned them, they are dependant on help from the outside. Donate here

So Jason really said killing Bellamy was a last minute change?????? So originally Bellamy was suppose to still be alive. He decided last minute to kill his male lead. He decided last minute to have his female lead kill his male lead. He decided last minute to intentionally kill Bellamy in the cruelest way possible knowing that Bellarke has been a hugely popular ship since season 1, before Clexa exsisted before Becho exsisted. And he said fuck you Bellarke fandom without hesitation. 😂😂😂 Fuck that man honestly I am so relieved I stopped watching this show last season.

I wish Bob and Eliza all the happiness in the world, only a few more episodes and Clarke/Eliza can join Bellamy/Bob in freedom.

To Whom it May Concern

If you have the power to kill a main/beloved character and you choose to do it, that’s okay. What’s not okay is erasing who that character is and what they stood for with no development towards it. It’s not okay to have the person that loves them kill them for no other reason than drama. This is how you lose fans. And if you do it when your show/story is over, please know we fans have long memories. We loved these shows/stories because we had invested time in them but your next work doesn’t matter to us. It will not get our support, we will not force are friends to give it a try, we will not fall in to your power a second time. You have lost the support of the people you will need in the future because we will hold a grudge. Characters don’t have to have a happy ending because life doesn’t but they deserve their stories to be respected. -Sincerely a Former Fan

You know what hurts the most? No one even tried to understand Bellamy’s side of things. They all made fun of his clothes and called him crazy. Everyone disregarded him as a mindless follower and no one was willing to hear what he had to say.

He died fighting for a cause he believed in with his whole heart that everyone thought was ridiculous. And he was killed by his best friend, the person he risked everything to save only days (weeks/months/idk anymore) ago. The person who understood him in a way no one else did. Instead of listening to him and seeing his point of view (as she always at least tried to do), she killed him.

All he was doing was trying to save them all. To put an end to war and violence. To give them a better life.

And he died believing the people he cared about most in the world didnt love him anymore.

visenyatargaryen-archive:

Real life is ugly and depressive enough, we don’t need to have all of that in fiction too. Stop killing fans’ favorite characters for shock value. No one likes that. No one is interested in that. It ruins everything and we hate it actually

Revolutionary parenting hack:

If your child is in the middle of some activity and clearly enjoying it (and wasn’t supposed to be doing something else instead), DO NOT interrupt them and have them do chores that will “only take 5 minutes or so!”

You haven’t asked them to do anything before they got out the Legos, started reading a chapter of their book or painting the complicated picture, or began playing their video game.

As a result of being repeatedly interrupted, they will learn that their presence in public space of the household=availability to do chores, so they will make themselves scarce so you can’t find them and order them around. They will also become suspicious of your efforts to engage with them as they play, as they’ve learned that these pleasantries are a prelude to “Take out the trash”, or “move your boots and vacuum the entryway, there’s dirt everywhere ”.

“But I need my children to help me around the house!”, I hear you cry. I understand. Children should not be treated like royalty and left to their own devices 24/7.

An alternative is to give the kids a clearly delineated chore chart and stick to it, resisting the urge to add anything to it. There are some chores that are easier and quicker with two people, though. A (in my opinion) even better option is to divide the child’s day into “on-duty” and “off-duty ” time. When they’re on-duty, you can interrupt them as before, but you have *consulted with your child beforehand * and they understand that during this time they can relax, but they must be ready to jump in and lend a hand.

That way they won’t start trying to level up in their video game or break out the clay and make stuff. When they are off-duty, you leave them alone and their only responsibilities are to clean up whatever mess they make at the end of this time.

Also, if they are tearing around the house or whining about being bored, don’t make them do chores so they will “have something to do”; this could make the child conflate extra chores with punishment for whining and make them reluctant to help out when you randomly tell them to at other times because they might think they’re being punished but they have NO IDEA WHAT THEY DID. And IMO children should see chores as things everyone has to do no matter what, not punishments.

I may seem unqualified to offer parenting advice as I have no kids, but I was talking with my dad today and he said: “I wish you didn’t hide from us in your room so much, but every time your mom walked by she’d give you a chore to do, so I can’t blame you for that.” A kid who hides in their room to play has an entirely different relationship to the family than the child who sprawls on the livingroom floor and excitedly describes the city they are building out of Legos.

And today, in times of Covid I play a complicated game of hide-and-seek with my mother as I try to do my online coding homework and apply for jobs. I am now attempting to turn my bedroom into my own tiny office because if I work in our home office, she’ll find me and go “I can’t attach this file to my email,” and so on.

Children *have* to obey their parents when they are young. But true respect and honoring collective responsibilities is stronger than forced obedience. If you demonstrate to your children that you respect them and their time, they will reciprocate.
